The New Quorndon Shakespeare Company present their dramatised reading about Jane Austen's life and work. This is the story of Jane Austen's life told through her own letters and those of her relatives and friends. It is light-hearted and often amusing, and casts a very different light on the author from the traditional idea of the writer as a dowdy spinster. Unkind, scurrilous, bitchy, non-P.C. - no wonder her sister censored some of Jane's correspondence. The show should appeal equally to fans as well as to those who know nothing about Jane Austen or her novels. This is a full-length evening show with refreshments.
