Comments 2000:
Brilliant! An excellent day. The kids are still talking about the tall man
with the wooden legs.
Thanks to all who sorted the day.
Chris, Barrow Road
Kids thought the day was great fun. Thanks for the day!
Teri and the Gang.
How did you sort the weather? The family ended up with minor sunburn, but thoroughly
enjoyed the whole event. Didn't win in the duck race, but maybe next year ...
Rees Family, Chaveney Rd
Thanks to everyone involved with organising the day - I very much enjoyed sitting by the
wall answering questions about making baskets and letting some of the kids have a go.

Comments 1999:
I'm Georgie Vaughan of Battram. I would like to say that the May Day was
excellent. I especially liked the part where you could try out juggling, rubber weight
sticks and stilts. I really loved it all day. I hope I will be able to come next year as
well. Georgie Vaughan, aged 10
I would like to record my thanks to the 'Quorn 2000' group for all their hard work and to
all the people, young and old, who took part in the May day celebrations. It was a
wonderful success and a delightful occasion and much appreciated by all who attended,
particularly some older residents who were reminded of 'days past' in Quorn. May I also
congratulate and thank the organisers of The Art Exhibition, held in The Village Hall, on
the same day. It was also a great success and proved to be even more impressive than last
year.
John Hutchinson.
Thanks to everyone who supported the 2nd Quorn Scouts Duck Race. The proceeds from this
event are going towards the cost of buying a new group minibus.
