WEDNESDAY FILM SHOW - "ONE DAY"

Emma and Dexter meet on the night of their university graduation. We encounter them every year on the anniversary of that date - 15 July - to see where they are in their lives. They are sometimes together, sometimes not, on that day. Starring Anne Hathaway, Jim Sturgess, Jodie Whittaker and Rafe Spall. Entrance: £4.00 [on the door], includes tea, biscuits and a raffle ticket. Please come along and support this regular village event.

Soap Making Course - Quorn Leicester

Learn to make natural, glycerine rich, handmade soaps in your kitchen using plant oils, herbs, natural exfoliants and essential oils. You will learn to make bar soaps with a range of ingredients including goats milk and we will teach you specialist techniques so that you can swirl and layer colours in your soaps. We also run a colouring play session where you can experiment with natural colourants. Discover the benefits of gentle exercise through dancing simple steps to music from around the world. We dance traditional village dances and more recent choreographies in a circle or spiral. Each dance is taught from scratch with plenty of repetition in a supportive environment. Everyone is equal in the circle. Wear loose comfortable clothing and flat shoes. Cost per session £4.

Fascinating Rhythm In Concert

Fascinating Rhythm are four accomplished musicians who perform jazz in its most accessible form. With superb vocals, saxophone, clarinet, piano and double bass these highly skilled musicians perform a wide range of jazz classics and new compositions providing audiences with an exhilarating and memorable musical treat. When film star Marilyn Monroe arrives for the start of shooting, all of London is excited to see the blonde bombshell, while Olivier is struggling to meet her many demands and acting ineptness, and Colin is intrigued by her. Colin's intrigue is met when Marilyn invites him into her inner world where she struggles with her fame, her beauty and her desire to be a great actress.
