The Quorn Folk Dance Club
New CD Publication - Welcome to the Dance
QFDC has newly published a fantastic double CD album of folk dance music. These contain no fewer than 41 tracks of well known and popular dances lasting for nearly two and a half hours, enough music to run several barn dances. Tracks include such favourites as Morpeth Rant, Devils Dream, Virginia Reel, Danish Double Quadrille, Haste to the Wedding, La Russe, Gay Gordons and many more.
The material for this compilation has been taken from the CDM and BR series of original vinyl records produced by the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS). Bands heard on the tracks include The Blue Mountain Band, Orange and Blue, The Ranchers, The Falconers, Woodley Yeomen, Four Leaf Clover and Greensleeves Country Dance Band.
Also in the package are full instructions for each dance so that novice callers can use the material with confidence.
For the bargain price of only £15.00 (incl. delivery in the UK) these two high quality CDs are yours! As a gesture of support for EFDSS the entire proceeds from the sale will be given to the Society to further its work in developing folk dance in Britain.
