Christmas Lights, Carols and Mulled Wine
December 6th 2002
This year saw a crowd well in excess of 200 adults and children attend
the switching on of Quorn's Christmas Lights.
The weather was very cold and on the verge of snowing, but all were
in good spirits for the event. Live music was supplied by village
youngsters, playing popular carols for the crowd to enjoy.
Tim Tyler, David Bowler and Howard Ketton held the event together.
Steve Boulton led the countdown and lights switched on without a glitch.
Many then went on to the Church Rooms for hot mince pies, mulled wine
and other refreshments organised by Quorn Parish Council. Numbers
were higher than last year and the mince pies were more in demand
as the weather was so much colder.
