It's been in the planning for quite a time, but now the village website
contains an interactive on-line calendar of village events.
So what does "interactive" mean? Simple - you can submit
your own events for publication on this website, giving details such
as venue, start time, description etc. If your event changes, you
can log on and update your entry. No problem if there are last-minute
changes to your schedule or plans.
The system will automatically remove out-of-date events, so the calendar
should keep bang up to date as people add further events through the
year.
Of course, this can only work if people get on line and submit their
events, so it's up to everyone to get their events on-line and publicised.
The submissions will be mentored by a number of people in the village,
so we'll be keeping an eye on how things are progressing.
