Village News 2006

Quorn to become a suburb of Loughborough?

The expansion of Loughborugh If the thought of this alarms you, now is the time to act.

Charnwood Borough Council are consulting on plans to expand Loughborough, and the green wedge between Loughborough and Quorn is one of the preferred areas.

Some households have been given a booklet by Charnwood Borough Council, but the majority of Quorn people have not received it. A Public Meeting was held at the village hall towards the end of February, but it was poorly advertised and again, many people in the village were unaware that it was happening.

If the expansion of Loughborough towards Quorn alarms you, then come along to a meeting and voice your opinion:

Public Meeting
Quorn Village Hall
Monday 27th March 2006
7.30pm

In advance of the meeting, you can download a PDF about Charnwood2021. This is a poor quality document, so our apologies if you find it difficult to read. Download the PDF [3Mbytes].

If you don't know where the village hall is located, refer to the Multimap website.
