Octoberfest is Great Success

The public turnout was
excellent and lived up to previous years, in fact the event could
not have coped with many more people. But it was nail-biting to
the end because it was very sobering (pun) to realise that it
wasn’t until the last couple of hours of the last day that

Caves
Field saved from development
August 2002
After years of fighting
to save Quorn's cricket pitch (Cave’s Field) from residential
development, the Parish Council eventually purchased the land
for the village in 2002 and has signed a long lease with the Cricket
Club for its continued use. more

At the annual dinner of
the National Association of Local Councils (NALC), held at the
University of Central Lancashire in Preston on Saturday 15th June,
John Hutchinson, Chairman of Quorn Parish Council was presented
