Lottery Award of £645,000 to renovate The Stafford Orchard

The Heritage Lottery Fund has awarded Quorn Parish Council £645,500 to redevelop the village park, the Stafford Orchard.

In 2009 a team of Councillors and community volunteers sponsored by the Parish Council succeeded in securing a National Lottery’s ‘Parks for People’ scheme grant to refurbish Stafford Orchard Park in the centre of Quorn Village.

This is a community project, developed by the village team in consultation with local people, and it has the full support of Charnwood Borough Council and Leicestershire County Council.
