Gary has spent all of his working life in the film and television industry working in many places throughout the world as a film cameraman. Attracted by the Leicestershire countryside, he and his family moved to the local area thirty years ago to keep horses.

Throughout the ensuing years he has been involved in a great many local parish council initiatives within the surrounding villages. He became chairman of the combined action group for the Wolds villages against the building of three thousand houses on Wymeswold airfield “Stop the Blot” which proceeded all the way to a Public Enquiry before being finally rejected. Further experience was gained in Leicestershire County Council training schemes in the appreciation of quality design within the rural environment. These early initiatives proved to be a forerunner to the excellent Village Design Statements of today.

Quorn has always been a village held in the highest possible regard by Gary and his family, so the move into a house into Chaveney Walk in 1999 was an opportunity to gain residence in a village with so much to offer.

Previous experience, together with respect for the village and its history, has produced a desire to play an active role in Quorn Parish Council.

Main objectives being the maintenance of a strong community spirit, together with the preservation of this charming and historic village.
