Rev David Bowler
I am a Londoner, as
I was born in St. Marys Hospital, Paddington, in 1954, although I feel I have a lot
of Scottish blood in me as my grandparents (on my mothers side) came from north of
the border. I grew up in Harrow and Wembley, and then we moved to East Sussex when I was
ten.
After a grammar school education I went to the University of Kent at Canterbury where I managed to obtain a BA(Hons) degree. I then came to the East Midlands, to St. Johns College, Nottingham, where I trained for the Church. I was ordained Deacon in Southwell Minster in 1978, and worked as a curate at Bramcote, Nottingham, from 1978 to 1982. I married Tracy, from Bramcote, during that time.
I then worked as Team Vicar in Kirby Muxloe/ Leicester Forest East, which is where our daughters Rebekah and Melanie were born, until January 1988. At that point we moved to Quorn, where we have been until now. At the time of writing, Tracy works as a Classroom Assistant at the Leicester Royal Infirmary School, and I have completed seventeen years working in Anglican-Methodist United Churches.

Rev. David Leese
David Leese is currently a minister
in the Loughborough Methodist circuit, with responsibility for four Methodist societies
south of Loughborough, including the Methodist congregation at Quorn.
He was brought up in Stoke on Trent, and read English and History at University College of North Wales, Bangor, and Social Administration at Leeds. Following marriage to Sue, he joined the Methodist church, becoming local preacher and circuit steward. David and Sue have three children, Matthew, Kate and Mark. He entered the National Health Service immediately on leaving university, and had nearly 30 years senior management experience at board level, with responsibility for the general management of district general hospitals in Dudley, Derby, Sutton Coldfield, and Peterborough.
He entered the Methodist ministry in 1995, as a minister in local appointment in the Bourne Methodist circuit, Lincolnshire. As a Methodist minister David is privileged to work alongside other ministers of Christian denominations, based on the one true ecumenical basis, that of a personal experience of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, as revealed through the evidence of Holy Scripture, and the witness of the Holy Spirit.
David is personally interested in the Primitive Methodist History of North Staffordshire, family history, and the breeding of domestic poultry. He is a member of the Poultry club of Great Britain, and breeds and exhibits Marans and Araucana poultry.
