Services at Saint Bartholomews

The Anglican and Methodist United Church in Quorn

The former Anglican and Methodist congregations in Quorn have been united since Easter Sunday 1975 as a ‘Local Ecumenical Project’. They worship together in the ancient parish church of St. Bartholomew’s, in the spiritual and pastoral care of the full-time clergy.

Arrangements for Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals should be made with either the Vicar or the Minister at their home addresses, where they are available to give assistance to anyone who asks.

Services are held in the parish church at the following times:

Sundays

8.00 am Holy Communion (Book of Common Prayer)
10.30 am 1st, 4th and 5th Sundays
Holy Communion (Alternative Service Book)
2nd Sunday Morning Prayer
3rd Sunday Morning Worship (more informal)
6.30 pm Evening Service (variety of forms)

Thursdays

10.00 am Holy Communion, with intercessions

The clergy and congregation are always very pleased to welcome newcomers and visitors to services in the church. On most Sundays, after the 10.30 am service, there is the opportunity to stay on in the church for refreshments and a chat. The church is also well equipped with toilets, and a creche which those with young children are invited to use at their discretion.
