In April 1996, a group of villagers with a shared interest in sketching and painting, got together and formed the Village Sketch Club.

Sketching sessions are held fortnightly on Tuesday mornings. We meet on the Station Road car park at 9.30am and the session lasts until 11.30am. The sketching season starts at the end of April and continues until October.

Anyone wishing to join the club is very welcome - ability is NOT the keyword - just enthusiasm! Artists bring along any medium of their choice, the most popular media being pencil, pen and ink or watercolour.

A list of venues is circulated prior to the start of the season and then, weather permitting, we visit places of interest in and around Quorn and Charnwood Forest.

We also have an Art Workshop evening in November, in the Village Hall with life drawing, still life, or a demonstration by a well-known local artist.
