Quorn Local History Group - The Y Station at Beaumanor & Garats Hay - Mark Temple

Thursday 30th April 2026
Quorn Church Rooms - 7.00pm, doors open 6.30pm
Cost: Members £2, guests £4. No need to book

Beaumanor Hall was the largest WW2 Y station and Mark covers the work done by the skilled ‘listeners’ from the ATS and others, many of whom were billeted in Quorn. The coded enemy messages they intercepted were sent down to Bletchley Park for deciphering, helping to bring about Hitler's downfall and the end of the war.
