Quorn Local History Group - Lady Jane Grey - Sally Henshaw

Thursday 26th November 2026
Quorn Church Rooms - 7.00pm, doors open 6.30pm
Cost: Members £2, guests £4. No need to book

Lady Jane Grey is shown in the Paul Delaroche painting as a saint and martyr, but there is more to her story than this Victorian depiction suggests. Jane, from Bradgate in Leicestershire, known as the 'Nine Days Queen' was executed in 1554. Did her royal blood and ambitious relatives make her death inevitable, or could it have been different?
